I <3 blogging!

Wow seriously this has been a long time since I last blog.

Though I said I will blog every week the last time, seems like promises to myself is harder to keep then promises to others.

Oh well, guess its Agape love? lol!

Shall skip to blog wad happen the past few months. There were very happy memoirs which I want to remember them forever.

I would just like to share something.

Over the past few months, I realised what it meant by:

Haha cant believe I am actually blogging while doing 205 presentation slides on Prezi.

Prezi is so damn cool to use! Just like playing a game =D

Less than a year and I'll be joining the working class.

Time seems to fly by.

Seems like childhood is not very long afterall.

I remember in Primary school asking myself, "When will I be grown up to be sensible and have freedom to lead my own life."

Now thinking back, seems like it was just yesterday. What makes it more emotional is that my Primary school is just next to my HDB block. HAHA

Literally is just a stone throw away. If I threw something out of my room window, it'll land in the school assembling area for flag raising. Everyday I hear the National antheme and school song. Nostalgia! =P

Been hanging out with Hobs, Soks and Ty.

Rest of the others seems busy.

Hope can meet up with them soon!

Got my casual shirt and ted baker shoes. Maybe its time to dress more like the mature me!

Cant wait to get my hands on the Nokia Windows phone!

Been 6 weeks at KPMG as an audit intern

The learning experience for me has been very fulfilling

I learnt many new stuff from what I had learnt at AA and on top of that,

I also had an further indepth of what I had learn before at AA.

Though the work load is much easier than in AA but somehow the overall feel is still very much not as frenly as in AA. I guess all big firms have this aura of awesomeness which requires one to be at their professional image at all times.

Nonethelss,

I made many new frens! Fellow interns, GAs, Seniors, and people from other nationaity!

Especially with fellow interns, our bond has grew stronger and we grew closer! All the fun we have when I am with them. I am usually at client's place so I hardly get to see them except on training days!

love them!

Also, the GAs and seniors all treat me very well. They continously teach me new stuff everyday and apart from just collegues, we are frens already! Looking forward to the outing with them at the end of internship!

Friday was my unit promotional dinner

Went to Oscar's at Conrad Centennial Singapore near suntec

Lovely buffet! All the seafood...lol makes me hungry now!

This time the interns had our own table...so not so stress as the previous dinner at traders =P

But too bad only Stef, YX, LQ, Stavik and me went. Sher plucked her wisdom tooth (and vomited blood) and Debbie was not free. It was fun but will be more fun with the 2 of them around!

Anyway, we enjoyed ourselves! OOOoooooo the food!!!

Saturday was KPMG beach party!

It was a fun filled day with me + Clares, Debbie, Quans, Huis, Ericas, JJs, Soks and Soks' bf!

Oh Sher could not make it cuz yea she is still recovering from the wisdom tooth...lol =\

Suppose to meet Debbie and Soks at 1pm at Vivo, but as usual...met them at 1.45pm. Was on the way when Soks msged say she is late and will meet at 1.30pm lol!

Eh I NOT THE ONE THAT IS LATE HOR! LOL!

Met Debbie first. Wah cant recognise her. She was wearing contacts O_O

Was scanning around and apparently I scanned past her without noticing that it was her! LMAO!

Then Soks came and we had ramen for lunch. OMG missed IPPUDO!

Soks bf came after we finished the food and we went to shop around.

Gals = shopping

Quans came after awhile and we went to Yigloo for some yogurt ice cream.

Lol they had fun putting the toppings on the ice cream and I was laughing inside...KIDS!

Ericas and JJs came then we headed off to Sentosa. Clares and Huis met us at Sentosa direct as they had something on and had to come later.

Took many photos along the way and especially at USS! Er...outside of cuz! HAHAHAHAHA!

Oh and another funny thing...Debbie bought portable speakers BUT SHE FORGOT TO BRING THE WIRES

LOL! We all were LOL-ing!

Reached the club house Azzura. Was penning out names down when Clares and Huis turned up.

Went in AND THE PARTY STARTED! OH YEA!

The 9 of us went onto the banana boat. EXCITING!

Clares was sitting on my left knee 1/2 the time. Omg his weight...ALMOST DIED! Was hanging on to my own life...plus his weight.

The gals were screaming all the way hahahahaha!

So fun and exciting!!!

And the boat flipped, which we all agree that it was the boatman who did it on purpose LOL!

After that we went to have dinner and drink!

Very nice pizza and wedges and drinks!

Though the drinks were limited, we manage to make do with what we have and party till 8pm!

After that we went to the pool and played in it. Lol we were all quite high. Especially the gals and Quans LOL!

To see them in that state...CUTE!

After sometime, the gals went to 1 corner of the pool to HTHT. We waited for a while then we went back to our table, got our stuff and head to the outside bathroom where we wached up and headed home.

What a fun filled day!

Monday, which is tomorrow, I a starting on my new job. So gonna miss Khim, Audrey and Shu Yun's company!

But I am looking forward to this job. I like challenges!

At the same time, I think I wont be seeing my frens as often now. I guess it is back to lonely newton days only now it is at suntec, lonely suntec =P

I'll continue to work hard and learn more!

For now, it is time for some L4D2 and SC2!

But then today I think I struck eureka and decided to get a headphone instead, leaning towards the music audiophile side.

But then again I do want to get that Psyko headset =P
But the Sennheiser HD 598 looks too good to miss...$300 leh -.-

AND I ALSO NEED TO GET A GAMING KEYBOARD!!!

End of 1st week of Internship at KPMG!

"Holidays" before the final year in NTU!

It is great to be back to blogging again!
I am having my Professional Attachment (Internship) at KPMG as an audit intern. 1 year ago, I was at AA lol.

Day 1, Monday:
Feels nostalgic on monday when I "return" to the workforce. Brings back many great memories of the time I had at AA and the seniors that guided me. Felt nostalgic at first, but as Day 1 at KPMG went by, I made new friends and met many great Associates and Seniors.

Without a doubt, the corporate setting of a big firm is very different from smaller size firm.
The environment and the external factors were all at another level.
The audit experience that I had in AA really aided me for audit. I already had a very sturdy foundation so understanding and processing the training was quite smooth.
Looks like the devil training works! OT days, working with optimal efficiency, soft and hard and heart skills, mentality, mind-set...everything came back to me =)
I've never forget the things that were imparted to me at AA.
On time
On budget
Without mistakes

I am all ready to run this long marathon!

Day 2 - Day 4:
Reported to office and waited for my attached G1 to fetch me to client place. 1st half of the day, did casting and x-ref for my 1st attached senior, Wilson. Fast and efficient and spotted all the mistakes
Proud of my first assignment ^^

After lunch, met my first attached G1, Hwee Min!!! She really look very different from what I saw on the KPMG website profile lol!

Went to client place to start work! Saw tons of files on the table. Never once did the thought of "huh...SO MANY FILES?!" came to my mind. All I though was, "I HAVE SEEN WORSE! LOL!"
Yea I've had files come into the rooms by trolleys. Endless wave of trolleys of files...

Anyway...
There were only 2 of us doing this job at the client office.
I did not talk much lol. Was shy!
Eh come on first time meet people...it is always like that! haha

Nevertheless, I did the work that was assigned to me. I finished my my work and asked for more! More! More!
Hwee Min seemed to be at a loss. I think it was because she did not know what more to assign to me. The rest of the stuff was quite high level lol.
I did not want to spill the beans but then again I would be just stoning there doing nothing. So I told HW that actually I had audit experience before. And yes I did all the sections myself before so I am able to do high level stuff. And so it began...

Well I am proud to say I did more than what I should. I was a willing party. HW did not force me, but on the contrary, I WAS THE ONE WHO FORCED HER TO LET ME DO MORE LOL!
Yes...first day audit at KPMG and I OT already. But this OT was nothing compared to those in AA. Or rather I would not even call this OT, more like normal working hours =)

HW was so afraid that I did not leave at 5.30pm. Do not worry friend! I was the willing party and moreover, I forced you to allow me to help you so yups! no worries! =D

And I was glad to be able to aid my GA and seniors. By doing more, it is how you gain more knowledge and experience! Also, what really kept me going was the people. I could really tell HW did appreciate my help. Appreciation...it is more than enough to satisfy me =)

Apart from work, we did chat a lot while working. I must say, I never met such a sweet gal before. Too bad my other gal-frens lol! It is an honour to be able to meet HW and befriend her.
People like her enables me to run this long marathon of life.
My friends, I have never forgotten each and every one of you. Actually I do think about my friends. Like when I am doing something, I would always picture them doing it with me and how a fun time we would have. It is always these thoughts that gave me the will to forge ahead!
For example, when I was vouching, I would think how would XXXX react if he was doing vouching. Most probably just eat the file and rage? LOL! You would be surprised how funny and interesting it can get by just having these flashes in your mind
=P

Day 5
Missed the company of HW. The unit I am in went on an outing to USS! Interns did not go, though I do not know the reason, but I "presume" it was because the tickets were sold out. It'd be fun though, to go USS with fellow colleagues and interns =)

Did random admin work in the office for another unit for the whole of friday.
Of course finished everything before knock off time.
Then we went off to eat LOBSTER BUFFET at Trader's hotel. Joined the unit, after their USS outing, for dinner at the hotel.
It is weird lar! They were all dressed in casual comfort post-USS clothes and interns were dressed in formal attire. LOL!

And yea, interns sat with the management people. Those high level seniors, managers and of course, the partners!
GG lol

But things went quite well and smooth. We enjoyed the dinner and the partners shared lots of experience and knowledge with us. I really appreciate the conversation that we had!

On a lighter note...(the interns dining time)
We made some sticks of stuff and dipped into chocolate fondue and brought back to the table to share. Then we could not finish...Of all things, nobody ate the 2 giant puff on the stick that I made.
I suggest we play the guess the number game lol! Person who guessed the number have to either eat it or offer it to your attached people (Buddy, GA, Senior, siao ar? who dare to go higher) . Round 1...I GUESSED THE NUMBER LOL! The person who suggest this game kana...LAME! LOL!

Yeap offered to HW definitely. Wanted to offer to my buddy, Christin, but could not find her.
*Yea ok whatever your thinking now...most probably your right =)*
So kind of HW to eat it all. Hey fren, it was made with love by me hor. Bet it tasted heavenly

Cabbed home after that. Shared with HW and 1 of her fren who stays in the east. Lame lar, nobody stays eat. So many ppl stay Bishan and TPY there.

Saturday:
Went out with Ash, Chris, Des. Dinner and lan.

Sunday:
Jonged at SS house with Chris, SS, Xinmin

A new found fren?

I use to think I had the answers to everything...
But now I know, life doesn't always go my way...
Feels like I'm caught in the middle...
And that's when I realise that the fairytale life wasn't for me...

Holidays is coming to an end...
I have not even had my holiday!!!

Yo!
A new semester is going to start and I am Year 2!!!
Must work hard now!

Wah...
While others had 4 months of holidays, that is 16 weeks, 120 days,
I only had 9 days...
I spent my first 7 days of holidays preparing to enjoy, which is keeping my books clearing and gearing up to play games
But then I had an internship at Audit Alliance which lasted 104 days...
And thus, I ONLY LEFT WITH 9 DAYS!
OMG?

Anyway, the internship at Audit Alliance ended on August 24th. I managed to obtain a rare opportunity of going abroad to do an audit case for a major firm. Although it is only in KL and only for 3 weeks, I can say that I had an overseas audit experience!
IT IS VERY TOUGH WORK! Everyday OT OT OT...
My seniors (Nikov, Steven and Erene) were more worse than me...
OT OT OT then round 2 of OT back in the hotel room...lol
However, I am proud to say I can endure that kind of working hours and having no life...
Although it is not what I want, but I guess it is good to go through hardship and learn more things.
I actually learned a lot of Accounting and Auditing knowledge which can never be taught in the textbook.
What made it even more valuable is that it is taught by the Chief Regional Financial Controller of the firm!!! He controls the entire SEA of the firm by the way.
His nick name is AB =)
I missed my chance on taking a photo with him but we managed to get a group photo with his co-workers, who is the chief accountant and the accountant in charge of tax. These are the people whom we are in close interaction through out the entire audit.
Oh! we not only audit that firm but also 2 other smaller subsidiaries. Wah the console diagram is O_O
lol
Anyway had lots of fun in KL too.
On weekends, Nikov and Steven will bring me out to shop and walk!
Oh Tian Yu, Wen Jun and Yi Ling flew over for a short holiday and we met up!
Nikov then brought us to the crab island and I had an enjoyable time over there! I treated them to a seafood feast which when compared to Singapore is really cheaper!
Oh, during our last day in KL at the firm's office, the chief accountant and tax accountant treated us to seafood lunch...
lol seafood again!
It was nice, but the one on the island was much better!
Also, Angel (audit manager) flew over in the last 5 days to network with the firm's accounting department staffs.
And on the last day, after saying out goodbye to the staffs, Angel, Nikov, Steven, Erene, Liam(a junior staff) and me went out to party!
We had korean BBQ then we sang KBox all the way till 4am!
Our flight was 3pm in the afternoon the following day.
It was a fruitful, valuable and very enjoyable overseas audit trip. I am very fortunate and glad to have this amazing opportunity!
Oh before I left Audit Alliance, I gave everyone an Thank You note and a 武林秘籍 notebook!
Special thanks to Mr Bernard (Senior Partner), Ms Angel (Audit Manager), Steven (Audit Assistant Manager) and Nikov (Audit Senior)!
Also the rest of the assistant manager, seniors and staffs:
Kareena, Theresa, Erene, Joseph, Misha, YT, Tian Hua, Jasmine and Liam!

I also made new friends in Audit Alliance! Lin Xin, Ren Zhi, Nooch and Steffi.
It was really fun interning with HC, PJ and HZ! However, the time we had together in the office was very short. HC and PJ was assigned to ABS2, which is under another partner and deals with internal audit while HZ and I were assigned under different seniors. So we hardly had anything that can make us interact. However, we had our own fun whenever we were in the office together!
It was fun while it lasted! They are very enjoyable people to work with and I believe our friendship grew even stronger!

Ok enough about the internship already...
I went to queue for Starcraft 2 on 27th July, world wide launch.
Got the game on 27th July 1pm...UNTIL NOW 28TH AUGUST HAVE NOT INSTALL YET???!!!
AND SCHOOL STARTS ON 30TH AUGUST!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!
But it is ok!
I finally going to get my madratz 7 mouse!!!

I got the Steel Series neckband headset at the last IT fair in June =D
AS USUAL I HAVE NOT UNBOX IT YET! My Razer Piranha headset I think can become a collection le. I have not unbox it after 2 years...LOL!

I use it as an RSS feed for business and accounting stuff. Hopefully it is useful in my work!

Yesterday, SL, Dave, CW, Chris, Kev, Eojj and I went to crystal jade at Doby for dinner. Then we went lan to play cs and SC2...

We went home at 2.30am!
LOL! reached home 3am!
It was damn fun lar the lan!

Today we (Pot, Imran, Amanda, Nick, Sam, Fiona, Chelsa, Jing yi, Sohwoon) went to surprise Zoey for her birthday. She does not look surprise though she said she was! Haha
We gathered under her block and was suppose to ask her to come down for the surprise but apparently she was bathing so we decided to go up instead! I took a video for the entire thing! I think I missed out the important parts because I was filming Imran, Nick and Pot setting up the cake and the others went to surprise her...which did not turn out as surprising as planned!

We went to Tamp Safra Minds Cafe.
Had lots of fun and laughter there! SUPER SUPER FUNNY! LOL
As usual I had my fun share of irritating Zoey. LOL!
Denise came half way! It was nice to see a familiar face after a long time =)
After minds some had to go and the rest of us went back to Pasir Ris for Zi Char. Imran went to downtown east to meet his friends for dinner.
Only 5 people eat Zi Char. Me, Pot, Zoey, Nick and Sam.
It was nice and we chilled for 1 hour after we finished all the food on the table haha!
Walked Zoey home then walked pot 1/2 way then I went home.

Yay! Finally exams are over!
It is the start of the second week of school holidays
But it is work work work for me

I'm an intern at Audit Alliance LLP
HC, Hui Zhen and PJ is also intern there too
I'm in 1 group with HZ while HC and PJ is in another
lol the boss don't want to put HZ and PJ together as they are couple
rofl!

Attended a 4 days audit training at Audit Alliance at Sim Lim tower
from monday to thursday 9am to 6pm
Learnt about audit skills as well as how to choose a good husband lol
Yeap literally!
It was fun and I learnt alot from Mr Bernard(senior partner)!
Not only did i picked up some audit skills as well as tips, there were also interesting life lessons and stories which he imparted to us
I guess it is as the saying goes," Old ginger is still the most spicy."
hahahaha

Friday was the first official day of work at Audit Alliance at Tanjong Pagar Maxwell House
It was tiring I stood the whole day trying to do admin stuff. Don't think little of these admin stuff. It is the 1st step to all office work. You have to know how to make the files and do all the proper entries first before you can document any audit work on client's data and files
I also looked through some client's files when I'm learning the admin stuff. It was really an eye opener for me to be using what I had learnt during the training to really audit real life accounts!
It is scary but at the same time fun and exciting!
Even though I'm year 1 and I have no audit knowledge, but the 4 day training seems to be helping me alot! Hopefully it can also help me in my audit module in Year 3 haha!

Oh and I have to bring my Alien to work everyday! 6kg omg lol

but I used it for serious work already...

I'll work hard and learn all I can during this 3 months! Gain some exposure and also if possible try to network abit!

Yes it is going to be free for sg players as garena is currently in negotiation with HoN to sponsor all sg players free but the game is based on garena platform.
Hopefull HoN will agree!

Also I want to get a zai headset and the madcatz mouse!!!
Think most probably the IT fair wont have and I will have to order it online...
Should I order my alienware bagpack online or wait till IT fair and see if ppl bring in?

ORD long time ago!
Was suppose to post when I ord but my blog template got corrupted...

So much happened in this 1 year!

I'll do a summary!

First up ORD in march 2007
Then 2 days after my ORD I went to JAPAN FOR 17 DAYS OF HOLIDAY!!!
Omg missed Japan ever since, and I never ate Yoshinoya in Singapore after I ate it in Japan.
DROVE A REAL GUNDAM!
HAHA

Then I slacked all the way till May/June when I worked as a relief teacher for 1 week at GVSS. It was fun but being a teacher is not an easy job though...

Then in June I went to TAIWAN FOR 7 DAYS HOLIDAY!
Woohoo!
Went to club in Taiwan! Omg fierce gals all around!
Stayed at a University hostel and chatted with 1 Prof about politics at his apartment! From 11pm to 3am?

Details of the trip maybe if I have time I'll blog about it
Anyway, LION STILL HAVE NOT PASS ME THE COMPLETE JAPAN PHOTOS YET! LOL!

After that, NTU NBS Accountancy Year 1 Semester 1 started in August!
